The $60/barrel increase during W's days in office equals the daily drain $1.4 billion a day out of our pockets.
Estimating the first 7 years of this increase in the Bush years and tacking on the 8th year at the rate above we get some $2.5 trillion.
For a family of 4 make it approx $30,000: after taxes or enough for a new car, a down payment on a house or nearly enough for a college education.
[Substitute a used car, a smaller house and certain colleges and $30 thou would do all 3.]
The sum of $2.5 trillion makes Exxon profits of $40 billion seem a trifle.
[This amount is eerily similar to our current national debtof $3 trillion: hmmmmmmmm!]
Now I will not charge the POTUS with theft of this sum but I will ask where in Hell did $2.5 trillion go?
And I will charge the POTUS with not lifting a finger to stop this rape and plunder.

We use 25 million barrels of crude oil per day.
Why not offer $28 per barrel - take it or sell it elsewhere.
This is how bid and asked works in a free market the Republicans yearn for and love.
This would save us the $1.25 billion a day we are being ripped off for by the ongoing price fixing scam.
And we could have $1/gal gas at the pump.

Would that we had a President with the brains and balls to do it.

Really W, who the Hell else in the world will pick up the slack? Tasmania? Portugal?
Inside a week crude would be buy a barrel at $28 - get 1 free.

Of course the same for mideast would have to apply to your friends who produce oil domestically.
Might that be the problem W?

Exxon has owned the crude they are using to make gas out of for nearly a century.
They are not paying a dime for it but they do get to price gas as if they paid $90 per barrel.
This is bullshit! Free market my butt!
Exxon could make billions selling gas at a $1 a gallon but why bother when you can steal an extra $2 a gallon.
But you can do anything if you got the President on the pad.
Right Halliburton? Exxon? Saudi Arabia?

Here is a thought. How would you like to save money, have gas for $1.50/gal and take a bite out of the people behind 911?
It is graduation season with attendant purchase of cars. Buy one with 4 cylinders that gets 40mpg
and save on purchase price and it will be like getting gas at $1.50/gal compared to a 20mpg vehicle.
One might not matter - a million would!

Given Saudi Arabia and Iraq only supply approximately 20% of our crude oil imports, one immediate benefit of the CutCrude program would be the elimination of the need for Arab oil.
Imagine the reduction in international tension and entanglements, as well as wasted lives and tax money, that would lead to.
All you have to do is figure a way to get by on 4/5 of the energy you use daily.
